Mr Piotr Walczak, Head of the National Revenue Administration of Poland, hosted representatives of CELBET management.
The meeting took place on Thursday, 7.11 at the Ministry of Finance in Warsaw. CELBET representatives: Head of CELBET Mr Jyrki Linna, Grant Coordinator Mrs Pille Joggiso and PR expert Mrs Anna Hatała-Wanat and also Mr Mariusz Koter Deputy Director of the Customs Department and CELBET National Contact Point Mr Jan Żrałek attended the meeting.
– Poland has a very long and challenging part of the EU external border, and CELBET is a valuable and needed partner – said the Head of the National Revenue Administration at the beginning of the meeting. The Head of CELBET expressed an appreciation for such a meaningful and big involvement of Polish Revenue Administration in CELBET project, emphasizing not only the huge organizational support, but also the essential input of Polish experts working for CELBET: – We develop solutions that are not going to be put on shelves but actually used in practice by customs administrations. Thanks to having 11 countries in the project, we have a wide picture of the entire external EU border, and the special role of the Polish Customs and Tax Service is extremely valuable to us – emphasized the Head of CELBET.
The meeting with Mr Piotr Walczak Head of the National Revenue Administration of Poland, was also related to the upcoming CELBET Steering Committee meeting, which will take place on 28 of November in Cracow. Traditionally, the meeting will be hosted by the Head of the National Revenue Administration of Poland.
