Last week from 12 to 15 of August at the Lavoriškės BCP (Lithuania) the test of the project on application of Integrated Control Model (synchronized checks module C) was carried out. Preparations for implementation of the new solutions have been positively assessed.
The officers of the Estonian Customs (operating under the European Union Law Enforcement Training Agency – CEPOL program) have been present during the pilot and fully supporting the Lithuanian Customs and the State Border Guard Service by providing a direct supervision of the pilot.The pilot project is going to be fully implemented at 1 September 2019. The anticipated result of the project is significant increase of the BCP throughput.The project was initiated following CELBET initiative and CELBET advisory mission.
