This year, PR Network meeting was organized in Athens, bringing together experts dedicated to raising CELBET’s visibility and impact.
The meeting was opened by Mr Konstantinos Mourtidis, Director General of Customs and Excise of Infependent Authority for Public Revenues. In welcome speech, Mr Mourtidis highlighted the importance of customs community and work of PR specialists. He also expressed his gratitude for CELBET as a team which make customs visible and effective.
The PR Network, has been formed to support CELBET’s outreach, includes representatives from each CELBET Member State who collaborates closely with the CELBET PR expert, sharing stories, news and updates from national customs administrations in the CELBET publications.
The PR Network’s work fuels each issue of CELBET Magazine, enhancing its appeal and reach. Without their knowledge and communication skills, CELBET visibility would be not only that interesting and inspiring but first of all not even possible.
On second day of the meeting network members were focused on following topics:
- Social media strategies
- Challenges in communication and PR
- Digital services and public campaigns
- Comprehensive communication strategies
Communication specialists Vasilios from Greece, Iina from Finland, Karin- from Estonia and Bernadett from Hungary presented how their customs administrations engage with target audiences, respond to fake news, and develop campaigns aimed at travelers. They also showcased new initiatives to strengthen the positive image of customs.
All members have also been working on a communication plan to summarize the entire 9-year of CELBET activity and test their creativity and collaboration skills in team building part.
